Gabriella Murvai-Bőke graduated in 2020 at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Budapest), Musicology Department. As of December 2018, she has been working as research assistant at the Department for Hungarian Music History of the Institute for Musicology, Research Centre for the Humanities. Together with her collegues, she performs 18th and 19th century basic research: data processing, cataloguing, digitalization of the National Theatre’s repertoire. She participated in the preparation of the exhibition on the 175th anniversary of the National Anthem’s musical setting, The Erkel Workshop (2019). The subject matter of her thesis in preparation (supervisor: Lóránt Péteri) is the Hungarian Army Central Artistic Ensemble and the similar song and dance ensembles in Central European Militaries.
