On the centenary of Karl Goldmark’s death, the Archives and Research Group for 20th and 21st Century Hungarian Music launches the international conference "Exoticism, orientalism and national identity in musical theatre" (11 and 12 December, 2015, Institute of Musicology).

The Archives for Hungarian Music organizes a memorial concert on 16 February 2015, 7.15 pm the anniversary of the death of László Lajtha, at Hagyományok Háza (Hungarian Heritage House). The students of the Oratorio and Song faculty of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music will perform Lajtha’s folksong arrangements and Ferenc János Szabó, a member of the research group will perform piano pieces by Lajtha. Entry is free.

The Archives for Hungarian Music organizes an international conference 'Nationalism in Musc in the Totalitarian State (1945-1989)'. The two keynote speakers of the conference will be Hermann Danuser and Richard Taruskin.
